Rodeo Announcer – Garrett Yerigan

Being that he was at his first rodeo at just two weeks old, it’s easy to say Garrett has been around rodeo all his life. His dad, Dale, is a former rodeo competitor and mom, Kathy, still competes in Barrel Racing. Kathy is a former International Finals Rodeo qualifier in the Barrel Racing and Dale is an 11-time International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) World Champion in the Steer Wrestling and is currently the General Manager of the IPRA. Garrett is a 2013 graduate of Pryor (Oklahoma), where he was selected as an FFA National Finalist for National Star in Agribusiness. Garrett now calls Weatherford, Texas home with his wife Nealey.

Garrett has announced events sanctioned by the PRCA, IPRA, and PBR at approximately 150 performances per year. In 2014, Garrett set a record as the youngest announcer in the International Finals Rodeo’s history! Garrett is now a 7-time IFR Announcer and has also been selected to work events such as the inaugural National Finals Breakaway Roping, The American Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, PRCA Xtreme Broncs Tour Finale, and the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup. He was voted by his fellow PRCA members as the Announcer of the Year in 2021 and 2022, and as the Women’s Professional Rodeo Announcer of the Year in 2024.
